- Analyst target price
- A forward-looking price level that a research firm believes a stock could reach, often over the next 12 months. It reflects professional judgment—not a guaranteed outcome.
- Consensus
- An aggregate of many analysts’ opinions—often the mean or median target price and a summary recommendation label such as Buy or Hold.
- Upside potential
- The percentage gap between the current price and the consensus target price. Positive upside means analysts’ average target is above today’s price.
- Strong Buy
- The most bullish tier in many rating scales (often mapped to scores near 1.0–1.5). It indicates a majority of surveyed analysts lean heavily positive.
- P/E ratio (TTM)
- Price divided by trailing twelve-month earnings per share. Higher P/E can mean growth expectations—or richer valuation versus profits.
- Forward P/E
- Price divided by expected (forward) earnings. Useful for comparing valuation against future profit estimates.
- P/B ratio
- Price divided by book value per share. Compares market value to accounting net assets on the balance sheet.
- Dividend yield
- Annual dividend per share divided by the stock price, expressed as a percentage. Shows cash income relative to price.
- Beta
- A measure of volatility versus the broader market. Beta above 1 suggests the stock has tended to move more than the market.
- Market capitalization
- Share price multiplied by shares outstanding. Used to classify company size (large-cap, mid-cap, etc.).
- Sector rotation
- Shifts in leadership among industry groups as investors favor sectors with stronger outlooks, earnings, or macro tailwinds.
- Insider trading (reported)
- Transactions by executives or directors disclosed in SEC filings. Not illegal when properly reported; context matters for interpretation.
- Earnings date
- The scheduled window when a company reports quarterly results. Prices often react to actual numbers versus expectations.
- Price target upgrade
- When a research firm raises its target price—often labeled “Raises” in feed data—signaling a more bullish view than before.
- Analyst rating
- A summary label (e.g., Buy, Hold, Sell) derived from surveyed analysts. It compresses many opinions into one readable signal.
